My Favorite Kind of Day!!!

It's dark and rainy and there's THUNDER!! I love it. When we moved to Kerrville I thought I was going to have to be content with my thunderstorm cd's. But apparently the rain came with us.

It rained last week and is raining again...According to longtime residents it hasn't rained in quite some time.

But, this doesn't bode well for Haley's first soccer practice tonight. Poor girl always has something come up before she starts a new season.

Last year was her first year and she had horrible coaches. She got sick before the first game and played despite never having practiced or played before. She looked terrible but still managed to do better than most of the other kids.

I pray Kerrville has a much better system than Denton did. I know regardless, she'll enjoy it. Only us parents notice things like the complete irresponsibility of the adults and lack of organization in an organization.

So, today we will brave the elements and go shopping for soccer cleats and shin guards. Add that to about 3 other errands and you have a dream day for mommy....yes I love driving around with the family in the rain :)

Sterling update: Still cute, still skinny skinny, still loved by his siblings in an ooey-gooey way. I hate changing diapers at night so I am searching for an even more absorbent cloth diaper for night. He does fine in the ones I have but I owe it to my readers to try as many out as possible...lol now that was a stretch of an excuse for spending money!

It seems I am having every problem possible after Sterling's birth. Bladder infection, breast feeding problems (you'd think with almost 6 years of breastfeeding experience I'd be immune to problems!), engorgement. But all are manageable and nothing that won't go away. I am grateful to have Jesus in my life to give me that hope!

Thanks for stoppin' by! I do not know Cindi Albright. I do see that you are from Kerrville and my husbands whole family lives in Kerrville. So our last name is all over that town. You might know some of his family! Small world, isn't it?

Autumn, I love thunderstorms too. Especially in the summer or spring. I do hope that when we are there camping in May that the Kerville storms magically disappear for the weekend though. ;)

Have you ever tried Mother-Ease Sandy's? They have an XS that is apparently very absorbent. Not cute like Mutts or anything, but a workhorse that isn't too terribly expensive.
